Leggings continue to be trendy this Fall-Winter season as many major fashion houses and mainstream commercial brands continue to offer leggings in their collections. I can see why leggings have been favored by trendsetters and fashionistas everywhere- they're comfortable to wear, versatile, and always keep your legs warm!
Although leggings are neither pants, nor tights they're usually more on the tights side, which is why I suggest you think of them as such when styling them: wear them with any mini, sweater, shirt dress or mini skirt.
Some leggings are designed to look more like skinny pants or jeans. These are made from thicker fabrics and generally have some added embellishments like pockets, zippers, leather applications or buttons. You may pair this style of leggings with long shirts, cardigans, boyfriend
sweaters, or blazers.
Here are several ideas on how to wear your leggings this Fall-Winter 2013-2014.
With a mini skirt, a peter pan collar sweater and cropped leather jacket. This look combines several trends of the season such as black-and-white, plaid, and leather. A thick fabric skirt like this one looks great with leggings. Make sure that your leggings go beyond your ankle boots line, so there is no skin showing. Wearing your mini skirt with opaque, neutral colored leggings and ankle boots will make your legs look miles long.
