When you think of tweed you probably immediately think of a classic Chanel suit. Luckily, you don’t have to be able to afford Chanel to wear this trend!
Timeless tweeds are receiving a makeover for Spring 2013 with everything from tweed jackets to tweed shorts to colorful tweed and lurex-coated tweed. Although women have been wearing tweed for decades, this season’s must-have fabric has been revamped with unique colors, metallic threading, and a unique mix of materials. The great thing is that you can mix tweed with pretty much anything and the woolen fabric will give your outfit the perfect amount of texture, while still keeping you warm, if necessary. You can also choose to add just a hint of tweed to your outfit by accessorizing with a tweed handbag or shoes.
