If the words "it's spring" send tinges of delight all the way up your spine (and into your closet), you've come to the right place. Here is one of the most wearable and quintessential trends of the season. Say hello to the dazzling gamut of floral prints. From dark and mysterious to wistful and feminine- pluck your pick of the season's fresh florals.
Why I love it....
It wouldn't be spring without blooms and this season they've grown even more sophisticated. They're sweet and poetic at Dolce & Gabbana, inky and stylized at Marc Jacobs and lush and edgy at Christian Dior. No matter what your style is, there's a bud for you.
How to wear it....
1. Piling on accessories would create a florid bouquet. Limit yourself to chandelier earrings OR a structured bag.
2. Makeup should be quiet- nude lips, a hint a blush- so as not to compete with the loud prints.
3. Step out in shoes that reflect the pattern's vibe. If you're wearing prim petals, slip on nude or metallic stilettos, or ones that match a petal or leaf in your print. On the other hand, dark, sporty flowers can take chunkier sandals.
