Just because you love a runway look doesn't necessarily mean you'll be leaping to wear it- except for this coming season, when the must have shoe is a go-with-anything flat, daring crop tops complement any body type, and pastel dresses are more chic than sugary.
Most Flattering Pastels
To make a woman feel girly and sexy at the same time is not an easy thing to pull off, but Burberry, Dior and Prabal Gurung all seemed to master the art for Spring '14. Played for full sexy/sweet effect, the icy blues, mint greens, and lemon chiffons on the runway became my instant crutches. Even better, these soft colors love you back, once you find the confection that flatters your skin tone. Just like brighter hues, they can skew warm or cool. Slightly warmer coral or blush shades typically compliment more olive skin, while those with cool complexions tend to look most radiant in frost blue or petal pink.

Most Welcomed Pointy-Toe Flat
So many low-heeled options are available now, but a flat, pointed-toe shoe looks especially fresh, particularly when it's worn with a mid-calf skirt. A break from the 3-inch (or in my case 5') spikes sure feels nice. But these flats appearing everywhere from Narciso Rodriguez to Jimmy Choo- with details as varied as ankle straps, wide buckles, and even lace- also offer a bonus their stubbier, round-toe sisters never could: that sharp point at the toes creates a streamlined look that actually gives legs a longer appearance. To enhance the effect, choose styles that show off as much of your foot as possible.

Most Daring Cropped Top
Talk about hard-core: these abs-baring styles are definitely not for the timid- or the untoned. If you're the more modest type, pair a crop with a high waisted skirt or trousers, and let it peek out from under a jacket. Or add a sheer layer (a loose fitting light-weight tank, for example) underneath. You'll achieve the same look without actually showing skin. The flaunt-it look isn't just for hourglass figures or lanky types. Women with pear shapes can work the look too with slouchy, low-slung pants.
