Side part, say hello to the ear- you two are going to get very close this season. Everywhere from Opening Ceremony to Peter Som, the message was clear: The aggressively low side-part (with optional faux-bang comb over) is the alpha part of 2014.
Why I love it...
1.You can show off your new Vita Fede ear jacket. Catbird ear cuffs, jumbo Celine style mono earrings, those ubiquitous double-sided Dior pearls- even if you indulge in just one of these trends, the side-part, with hair neatly tucked behind one ear, is the perfect way to celebrate the statement lobe.
2. It balances out your features. Does your nose tilt slightly to the left? Is one of your cheekbones a bit less chiseled than the other? Create the appearance of harmony by placing your part on the opposite side.
3. Did I mention it only takes 30 seconds? All you really need is a comb, though in a pinch you can also use a bobby pin, a dried out Le Pen, and a clean fork (really anything with a dry, pointy tip is fair game).
