Continuing my month of reporting on the season's brightest hues is today's post about my most favorite color of all- cobalt! Designers are feeling blue this spring, yet the mood is anything but. This brilliant, sexy shade is guaranteed to make a splash. I love the color because it's just as wearable as its more traditional cousin, navy, but the similarity ends there. Vibrant and not the tiniest sedate, the bold blue shakes up any look and gets you noticed.
How to wear it... Interesting textures (crochet at Chloe) and subtle sheen (satin at Pucci), make it work top to toe. If you'd rather go with just a hint of the hue, the sky's the limit. It can easily take the place of a normally neutral piece, from a crisp button down to a sexy pump. Classic tones, like white and tan, let cobalt rule, but it also holds its own with other turned-up colors. Pair it with bright orange, fuchsia, or cool minty green just to name a few.
