And you laughed....Not since Jerry Seinfeld (circa 1993) turned the puffy shirt into a punch line has a billowing sleeve gotten any respect. At least not until designers made it romantic once again, replacing the ridiculous with the sublime. Granted not everyone can pull off this look. If you are small in stature or petite the sleeves can be a bit overpowering. But for those brave enough to try the trend, how flattering you make it look is all in the styling. Make sure to only wear fitted bottoms, like slim leg trousers or a fitted pencil skirt so that your look is streamlined and properly proportioned. Stay away from anything too flowy on your bottom half, like a maxi skirt (though high-waisted wide leg trousers are ok). Go bold this spring and embrace the bell sleeve. No matter the occasion, I promise you'll be the belle of the ball.
