SJP Debuts Shoe Line That Even Carrie Bradshaw Would Envy

Shoe lovers rejoice: Carrie Bradshaw's alter ego has launched a footwear line!  I'd say the shoe fits.  If you're anything like me (who's name coincidentally, or not so coincidentally, is Carrie) or Carrie Bradshaw herself and you'd rather have shoes than food or furniture you will absolutely adore Sarah Jessica Parker's debut accessories collection.

Parker made Jimmy Choo and Manolo Blahnik household names, but now it's her turn to strut her stuff with an accessories line called SJP.  Throughout her years playing Bradshaw on Sex and the City, Parker was able to live out every shoe fanatic’s fantasy—with hundreds of pairs of Manolos, Jimmy Choos and Christian Louboutins at her disposal—so it’s not shocking that the beloved character played muse in her collection.  And believe me, it was really hard to narrow down my favorites.  The range features classic pumps, ballet flats, lace-up booties and sexy T-strap heels -- aptly named “The Carrie” — that Carrie Bradshaw would have swooned over.  With classic shapes perfect for work, and modern details, the line— sold exclusively at Nordstrom  — makes good on her Sex and the City character’s belovedly quirky style. The collection, which retails from $195 to $485, has such great colors too.  SJP tossed out the idea that neutral only means brown and black, tweaking the rules of what's appropriate in the office- "cuz you're not somehow less capable if your shoe is the color of a berry," she noted.

Here is a breakdown of the stars of the collection, which also features handbags, such as The Beekman and Baby Waverly.  As for the Beekman, SJP says "its ample size allows for the realities of what a woman needs to carry, yet is still small enough to qualify as an evening bag."  The Waverly she says is "a perfect bag for so many types of situations- its equally appropriate for work or weekend clothes."
