Go Big or Go Home: The Chunky Bracelet Trend

Fendi
Dior
Celine

Chunky bangle and cuff bracelets are right on-trend this year and were seen all over the spring '15 runways. With bold shapes and colors and eye-catching gemstones, these statement bracelets are not for wallflowers. A simple outfit becomes instantly chic and unique when paired with one of these pieces.  Whether you’re wearing a suit or a little black dress, there will be a perfect chunky bracelet to make you look stylish this season!

Top Knot

Kara by Kara Ross

When it comes to beauty and style, knots have always gotten a bad rap. For instance, no one likes knots and tangles in their hair, and knots in your shoelaces can be a major obstacle when you’re trying to slip on your lace-up booties and run out the door! But the latest in jewelry trends will have you rethinking all those negative connotations that caused you to avoid knots in the past. Knotted chain jewelry is statement-making in a strong and sexy, yet elegant way. It’s simple but catches the light in all the right ways without looking ostentatious or overwhelming your outfit, and these looks can even pass off as slightly rocker-chic in their use of mixed metals without coming across as too edgy. Instead of silver hoops or plain metallic studs, go with simple chain knots for a unique on-trend look. For a mixed textile look, I love a leather and chain knotted necklace, but for something a bit simpler, a pendant knot necklace is the perfect addition to your jewelry collection! And lastly, if a bracelet suits your style more, throw on a multi-chain bracelet!

Bare Yours Arms With These Stylish Upper-Arm Cuffs

Left to Right: Cushnie et Ochs, Viktor & Rolf

While on the hunt to discover new, chic styling ideas for accessories in S/S '15 I came across these images from the Cushnie et Ochs and Viktor & Rolf runways and learned an important lesson: It’s not just about the kind of bracelet you wear, but where you wear it matters too.  If your arms aren't quite as toned as you'd like them to be right now, the good news is that summer is a long ways away so you still have plenty of time to get in shape before baring those guns adorned with your new arm candy.

Reaching New Heights With Sky-High Platforms

Versace
Saint Laurent

Don’t knock ’forms till you’ve tried ’em. While 2014 saw the rise of the flatform—namely Stella McCartney’s star-spangled and colorful styles—2015 is bringing back the disco spirit with tried-and-true platform sandals.  As a lover of some good heel-game, I can attest the Spring '15 runways were full of these fabulous shoes.  Consider your dancing shoes quota met- just take my advice and bring a spotter because if there's one thing to knock a few notches off your glam factor its tripping and spilling on the dance floor in these sky-high heels.

Match Point

Michael Kors

Matching jackets and pants were seen on Spring, Summer and Resort runways looking more suit-able than usual. The silhouette was all over the board, from tight and cropped to loose and comfy, belted and un-belted.   Not sure of the whole matchy-matchy look?  Next time you think the only way to make a statement is by mixing prints, consider these colorful sets that scream cool.   My favorite?? Orla Kiely's shoe-print suit featured last.  I mean who doesn't love a shoe-print?
