It's time to slither away from the Year of the Snake and ring in the Year of the Horse- the fashion world already has! This Chinese zodiac sign symbolizes strength and energy, and for Spring the look is reined in, not unbridled. Altuzarra and BCBG lassoed a harness into slim sheath dresses, while French Collection debuted a collection of pony print pullovers, button downs and wrap dresses. Gucci tweaked its iconic horse-bit motif for a sculptural ring that wins at showmanship. And there's even a makeup component: Chantecaille's warm earthy hues for eyes and cheeks, like Palomino and Mustang, are imprinted with stallions. Black beauty, indeed.
