Just Slide

As the wave of athletic-inspired fashion continues to swell, along with it comes the ripple of micro trends: case in point- the easy-to-wear and unofficial footwear of spring- canvas slip-on. Vans invented this skater style back in 1966, but it’s designer Phoebe Philo who recently brought it back to life in Celine’s spring/summer collection three years ago.  Now contemporary brands everywhere are jumping on board.  Sleeker than your average lace-ups and made in fabrics like leather and calf hair, these sneaks have become a new fashion staple.  And with so many options to choose from, you'll be hard pressed to find a piece of clothing these kicks won’t compliment (flirty dresses, cropped pants.. you name it).  Check out the must see styles of the season and slide into the slip-on sneaker.
