Fall For the Weekend

With the changing of the leaves comes a whole host of cozy activities just as picture-perfect.  So get in the frame and dress accordingly.

GIRL'S BRUNCH

This elevated play on comfy-wear will get you noticed, but still out the door in 10 minutes. The upgrades: Layer a quilted sweatshirt under a peacoat for preppy polish, and skip ultra sexy stilettos and nude stockings in favor of navy opaque tights and brogues to sharpen a casual wool skirt. Chic oversized sunglasses and a fedora mean minimal hair and makeup time (and more sleep).

TAILGATING

Prepare for the big game in colorful layers so you'll be toasty and scoring plenty of style points. (Stick to face paint in the same color scheme.)  Everything about this bright blue quilted jacket says, "Go team!"  Keep the sporty spirt popping with a varsity-like striped scarf.  Bonus: it can double as a shawl.

HOLIDAY DINNER

Match your outfit to the menu: Nothing says Thanksgiving like a rich assortment of fall hues, such as warm squash and and deep wine.

APPLE PICKING

Does it get any more idyllic than this? No, but resist the urge to be too downright darling, and choose pieces that are fit for the field.

 DATE NIGHT

Snuggle season is here. The dress code? Flirty looks with hits of soft fabric that'll make 'em want to reach out and touch someone (aka you!). Give a nuzzle-worthy turtleneck and collarless, texture- block coat some more edge with a quilted leather mini. A fold-over clutch in festive green and gold cap-toe booties lend a cheeky touch- perfect for a night on the town.
